LETTERS TO THE REMNANT CHURCH

TRUE WORSHIP, FROM TRUE WORSHIPPERS

Jesus said "the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (JN 4:23-24)

Today in the church, we do not seem to have much of a problem worshipping God "in the spirit." We know that we should worship God, and we even know why we should worship him, but, it seems as if that particular knowledge falls into the category of the "truth" part of worshipping in "spirit" and in "truth." "Truth," is what God says, pure and simple, not what we think is true, because we happen to believe something or another.

Are we really worshipping in spirit and in truth? What exactly did Jesus meann, when he said those words to the woman at thee well in Samaria? She had understanding based upon what was written in the old testament only. It says in Isaiah "And many people shall go and say, come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem." (IS 2:3)
